News & Events: Talks on Wildlife

Tuesday 3rd March 2015 |

As I mentioned in my latest news item I am now doing talks to wildlife and photographic societies, I have 3 talks at present;  the first entitled  'A Passion for Wildfowl',  I have had a lifelong interest in this fascinating and diverse group of birds and this is a compilation of images and conservation stories covering Alaska, Canada, Arctic Norway, UK, Australia, New Zealand and the sub Antarctic Islands. The next talk covers my trip to the Antarctic in Feb/Mar 14, a history and natural history of the New Zealand sub Antarctic islands and the Ross Sea region. and finally a talk on 'Filming Wildlife for Television', I spent over 30 years as a freelance wildlife cameraman working mainly for the BBC on programmes from the Natural History Unit in Bristol, including several programmes the Natural World series, The  Life of Birds, The Life of Mammals, Planet Earth and Attenborough in Paradise.  I talk about what is involved in getting those memorable  sequences.
